CX7

Front

Rear

This is the speaker that was supplied with the CX7A/B radios. The styling and the color and size match the Signal/One CX7A/B receivers. The construction is of heavy steel. The case is two pieces, welded with an overlapping seam. Not sure how the front and back are attached, have to take more photos of that. Rumor has it that there were only 50 speakers of this model made.

The CX11 speaker is made of the same heavy gauge steel, but the construction of the speaker enclosure is different. The speaker is made of two pieces which are screwed together on the side. The is the same construction as was used in the MS-1030 speaker. From the photos, it's obvious that the perforations in the CX7 speaker grill are larger. What may not be so obvious is that the logo is smaller on the CX11 speaker. No production numbers are known to me.

MS-1030

Here are photos of a MS1030 speaker that Alex Escarcega  XE1CK kindly sent me.  It appears to be of the same general type as the  CX11 speaker.

Front

Note that the name plate does not specify MS-1030.

Side

The cabinet appears to be the same two piece style as that of the CX-11.
